American Eye Study Club Photo Album

Welcome to the AESC picture place.  From time to time, we'll be adding albums and individual pictures to this page for members to view and download.  One feature we'll be using is Google's Picasa, whichis a photo management system.  With Picasa, it's easy to upload pictures, organize them in a gallery, view them as a slide show, or download for personal use.

If you have pictures to share, please send them to Rich Paul at the AESC
office
     By email
:
RichardPaul@DLS.net    (make sure the pictures are sent as an attachment to the email)
     By regular mail
:  AESC, 10 W. Phillip Rd., Suite 120, Vernon Hills, IL  60061

Pictures are preferred in electronic format (i.e., JPG).  However, we can scan printed picutures; the originals will be returned to you.

We hope you enjoy this page!

Here are some pictures from AESC meetings during its rich 50+ year history.  Members:  If you have pictures from meetings gone by, please share them!

Al Ruedemann

Dr. Albert D. Ruedemann, Jr., one of the creators and founding members of the American Eye Study Club. He was the driving force behind the AESC for many years and served as its Secretary-Treasurer for nine years and as its President in 1967 during his last year as an Active member. He was a brilliant and innovative clinician, surgeon, and thinker who practiced in Detroit, Michigan, where his father, also an ophthalmologist, was a Professor at Wayne State University and the first Director of the Kresge Eye Institute.  The annual Ruedemann Lecture is named in his memory.
