Meeting Dates:Tuesday, August 2 through Saturday, August 7, 2022 Overview Schedule for the week(PDF file) Note -- the last event of the conference is on Saturday evening. Most members will plan Sunday departures.
You should be able to book to book one of the upgraded rooms listed below as well as "traditional" rooms. If your room preference is not available, we suggest that you book something and then send Kathy and email ([email protected]) so she can work on modifying your reservation.,
To make a reservation by phone:
Call the Salishan Coastal Lodge Group Reservation Department at 541-764-3600 between the times of 7:00am – 7:00pm (Pacific time) and identify yourself as a participant in the American Eye Study Club meeting.
Press #1 for reservations, and then press #2 for Group Reservations
Individual guests will be responsible for their guest room reservation, tax, resort service fee, and incidental charges upon check-out
A 72-hour cancellation fee will be enforced; additionally, should any guest choose to check in prior 12:00 noon or check out prior to their confirmed departure date; a fee of $25.00 will be charged to their guestroom. Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. and checkout time is 11:00 a.m.
A credit card guarantee is required to hold each individual’s reservation. If the card paying for the room will not be with the guest at arrival, a credit card authorization form must be filled out by the card holder and returned prior to the reservation date. Forms can be provided by and returned to the Group Reservations Department upon request.
NOTE: The cutoff date for making reservations is July 1, 2022.
The following group rates are available during the dates of our conference. This pricing also is available three days before and after the conference on a space-available basis.
Traditional King and Traditional Queen/Queen guestrooms -- $269.00
Optional Upgrades
Deluxe Guest Room -- $279.00
Premier Guest Room -- $289.00
Canyon Suite -- $650.00
Executive Suite -- $750.00
All room rates are per room, per night. State and local taxes (currently 11.8%) are in addition. A daily resort fee of $25.00 is includes in the room rate. This fee includes in-room coffee Keurig coffee makers, in-room microwave, wireless internet, 9-hole putting course, access to indoor pool and fitness center, in-room refrigerator, unlimited local phone calls and private beach access.

The AESC has reserved rooms at the Salishan Coastal Lodge for your benefit. Reserve your accommodations early for the best chance of getting your first choice, as the number of rooms held is limited and, of course, the hotel certainly could sell-out all of their rooms at any time. By making housing reservations within the AESC room block at the Salishan Lodge, you receive a substantial discount on the price of your accommodations
PLEASE NOTE . . . As is true for all groups who negotiate special discounted pricing for conference attendees, the American Eye Study Club has signed a contract with the Salishan Coastal Lodge that "guarantees" a certain number of hotel rooms will be booked during the dates of our meeting. If we do not achieve a minimum number of overnight accommodations, the Club faces huge financial penalties for unused sleeping rooms. This potentially can cost all members. By staying at the Salishan instead of other off-property accommodations, you help the Club to meet its obligations and you experience the camaraderie that is a significant part of being a member of the American Eye Study Club!
