Welcome to the South Carolina Coast!

We welcome you to the spectacular coast of South Carolina and the AESC's 65th Annual Meeting at the Wild Dunes Resort.  We're sure you won't be bored.  Take a look at the activities we've arranged during the week.

Additional registration fees for some Club-sponsored events are necessary since there are extra costs associated.  See details below for all of our organized events.  The online registration form and a paper (PDF) form also appear below.

Please be sure to sign up as soon as possible for the group activities since some of them have limited space.  Thank you, and have a great time!

IF YOU NEED TO MAKE ANY CHANGES to the activities you've selected after submitting the form, please contact the AESC office.

A special note for family members who are not registered for the meeting -- We are happy to have family members who are not registered for the meeting to participate in the group recreational activities.  However, the kayak tour and the Charleston Harbor cruise have a limit on the number of participants.  Please go ahead and sign up for the events of interest, but keep in mind that family members who are fully registered for the meeting will receive preference if we reach the maximum for those two events.  If we exceed the limit, a full refund will be given to those affected.

9:15 - 11:15 a.m.

Departing from the Isle of Palms Outpost at the marina, you’ll find yourself situated at the beginning of the longest contiguous stretch of undeveloped coastline on the Eastern seaboard. What does that mean for you? Wildlife is abundant... bottlenose dolphins, blue crabs, sea turtles, oysters, pelicans, egrets and myriad of other species feed and live in this part of the estuary.  If conditions are ideal, we’ll pull the kayaks up on a verdant hammock island to stretch our legs and swim along the bank (its oyster-free). Your guide will point out the native plants and animals that live on the small island, including edible plants and tiny wharf crabs on a brief nature walk.

$60 per participant

Charleston Harbor Schooner
Open to anybody age 5 and older.

Two sailings . . .
1:30 - 3:30 p.m.
4:00 - 6:00 p.m.

Experience the wonder of sailing Charleston Harbor on a classic 84 foot tall ship. As we pull away from the dock, help us hoist the sails if you wish, and then sit back and watch the wind fill them, moving the Schooner Pride through the waters and past some of the most historic sites in the country such as Ft. Sumter where the first shots of the Civil War were fired.  Discover the tranquility of cruising the historic Charleston Harbor on a genuine tall ship, powered only by the wind in our sails.

The AESC is offering the choice of two departures.  This will be a 2-hour cruise.  Sandwiches are offered on the first sailing, while snacks and desserts will be on the second cruise (included in the fare).  Beer, wine, soft drinks and water are available for purchase on both trips.

The bus for the first sailing will return to the resort.  Passengers on the second sailing have their choice of getting off the bus at the City Market in Charleston or stay onboard and return to Wild Dunes.  NOTE:  If you stay in the city, you'll be responsible for your own transportation back to the resort.

$125 for adults 12 and older
$95 for children 5 through 11
Price includes round trip bus transportation
