Meeting Location

The 2011 annual meeting is at the venerable Pinehurst Resort in Pinehurst, North Carolina.  Nestled among the Sandhills of North Carolina, Pinehurst Resort invites you to become part of its history and to experience southern hospitality, elegant accommodations, luxury spa facilities, family recreational activities and, of course, any of their eight pristine world-class golf courses.
Pinehurst is situated at 80 Carolina Vista Drive in the Village of Pinehurst, NC.  The Raleigh-Durham International Airport is the most accessible airport, about 74 miles away.  Charlotte Douglas International Airport is 112 miles.  CLICK HERE for information about Pinehurst, including directions and travel information.

Rumor has it that they play golf at Pinehurst.  Why anybody would want to do that still is a mystery, but the "aim" and "drive" of the "club" is to smooth out the "rough" spots.  (OK, sorry... we couldn't help it!)  We have two "official" outings for AESC members.  Here's a link to the
Pinehurst golf webpages.
The first is on Wednesday morning on
Course No. 2.  This means our normal meeting schedule is flipped to an afternoon session.  Course No. 2 has recently been restored and should be a challenge, even for Bob Gold!
The second outing is at our usual time on Saturday morning on Course No. 4.  Because of the Pinehurst golf reservation requirements, we need to have firm commitments from golfers as soon as possible.
